General Instructions for Remote viewing DVR from Apple and Windows computers
Windows
IMPORTANT windows 8 is having issues with Review and Download so currently you can only do live view
For windows you will need to download the software and install it. Here is the link to download the software:

Once the software is installed, here is how to set it up. Once it is set up you just need to login to do basic operations so these steps will not be needed:
to start the application go to Start>Control Center>

The first time you have to set up an account for the Software
Enter user name (Default is SYSTEM) and password. Note: This is not the same as the login for the DVR
You can ignore mail message if it comes up, unless you want to set up email alerts
Once in, on the bottom right go to System Config
At the top left you have to choose the left most icon called “Add region” give it a name
Then you Chose the icon next it it called “Add Device”
Here you fill in the paremiters based on your system. Note, the Port you choose is the Server Port set in the DVR, not the HTTP port.
Once connected go to the bottom right and choose live
Then you can change the view to multi view (3×3, 4×4, etc)
Select a box to add a camera to and then on the left list, double click on the corrisponding camera you want to add

If you have not done so already, you need to Download and install the plugin. Do not forget to restart your browser
NOTE: for Mac, Safari is the prefered browser
If you have installed the plugin the next step is as follows
Enter your login information
In the browser you can view a live version of the cameras and other things. You can go to the top tab “Tools” to change settings on the DVR. You may also want to review and download a video. Just follow these steps:
To Review Clips
At the top tabs go to “Search”
Under play, choose camera channel
Choose start time and date
Click play
you can move through the clip with the controls at the bottom
To go back to search, go to the bottom right and click the exit button that looks like a down arrow
To Download Clips
At the top tabs go to “Backup”
At right, you need to indicate the time period you are looking for and the camera or cameras that you want to view
Choose start and end time and date
Choose the channel you want to download
Click search (above start and end time)
Use the check box to select clips you want to view or download
At the bottom, Click the button “Browse” to set the destination of the video file
At the bottom, click the button “Backup”
It will now download the video
