Hstar Accounting for Clients

Hstar Clients have a few different ways to receive and pay their bills. We try to accommodate each persons needs with our methods. Below is a simple outline with some common questions and their answers.

How do I get my bill?

You will receive your bill 2 different ways:

  • email with a PDF attachment
  • US postal mail

How can I pay my Bill?

Pay via Pay Pal

Hstar can send you an email that is an invoice from Pay Pal for you to pay your bill. Please note you must have a Pay Pal account. You can set one up very easily if you do not have a pay pal account. Please contact Hstar if you want to set this up.

Bill pay with your select Bank

Most banks offer billpay. You can set this up by giving your bank our billing information and they will automatically deduct the monthly fee from your account and send us a check via mail. If you choose to do this you can just use your full name for the account number.

Does Hstar have Automatic Payment?

At this time Hstar does not have automatic payment, but the above section details how you can set up auto payment with your bank.

Can I pay over the phone with a debit or credit card?

Hstar does not accept payments over the phone at this time.

Understanding your first bill with Hstar

New wireless clients will be charged as follows

  • Monthly Fee - Basic Plan is $49.95
  • Installation Fee - Basic Install is $250.00
  • Possible Additional Equipment Fees (Router, Ooma, etc) - Basic Router is $74.95

Monthly Service Fee

The monthly service fee will be pro rated as if service started the day after the install. We do this so you will always get your bill on the first of the month. For example, if your monthly fee is $49.95 a month, and you are installed on the 14th of January, your initial monthly fee will be $24.96. Then on February First you will owe $49.95 for service for the month of February.

If you have an install on the last day of the month, you will need to pay for the next month. For example, if you are installed on the 31st of January, you will have to pay $49.95 for February.

Install Fee

You will be expected to pay the installation fee on the day of the installation. For regular Wireless clients this fee is $250.00.

Install Fee Deposit and Payments

Hstar offers payment plans as long as the client makes a minimum payment of $100.00 on the day of the installation. The install fee or deposit does not include the monthly fee or any other equipment or service fees.

If you choose to do the Payments, you can pay off the remaining balance in payments of $25.00 or $50.00 in addition to the monthly fee. For example,

  • If you choose to make the minimum payment of $100.00 of the $250.00 Install Fee, that leaves a $150.00 remaining balance.
  • If you choose to pay it off with the $25.00 plan and your regular monthly service fee is $49.95, then you will be paying $74.95 a month for 6 months to pay off the balance of the install fee. After 6 months your monthly fee will be back to $49.95.

Additional Equipment

Hstar sells additional equipment that can enhance your internet experience. The most commonly purchased item is a wireless router. This will allow you to connect wireless devices to the router to access the internet. If you have a router we may be able to reuse it. But if you do not have a router, or the one you have is not compatible, you may want to buy one from Hstar. The main router Hstar uses is $74.95. As mentioned above, this is not covered by install fee or minimum deposit.

It is possible to operate without a router entirely, but you will then only have one connection to one device such as a desktop computer. Hstar Internet is basically a single Ethernet cable that can go into a device like a router or a device. That cable is set up to create an automatic connection (via DHCP) with anything that connects to it.
