Dragon Dictate instructions:

• Open Dragon by clicking on the bottom icon
• (note:When an app is open, there is a small light below the icon in the dock indicating it is on)
• Make sure “Your Profile” is on the left, and “BlackHeadset” is on the right.
• Choose “Continue” - Loading profile will take a minute.
• Now you have two different places you can turn on and off the dictate function:
• a small balck window with a stop sign called “Status Window”
• A small icon with a stop sign in the top menu bar, on the right
• To use dicate you need to open a document or email where text can be entered.
• Then click the cursor so you are in the text box and turn on the dragon dictate by pressing the red stop sign, turing it green.
• Now you can talk. Don't forget you should say period or comma when needed.
• When done you can click the green icon in the top menu bar or the status window and put it back in the off mode (the stop sign)

Note:

• You can hide the status window and just use the menu bar button by going to the menu while in dragon dictate:
• Click on Dictate in the bottom dock to make it the active application
• Choose window, in the top menu item
• choose hide (or show) the Status Window.

Troubleshooting:

• If you can not do anything with dictate, and the stop sign is gone, just quite dragon and restart it.
• To Quit:
• Click on Dictate in the bottom dock to make it the active application
• Choose Dragon, in the top menu item
• choose Quit
• Restart it by following the instructions above.
