For smaller hard drives running windows, you may need to run disk cleanup to fee up space. You can do this by:

• Click Start
• Click Computer
• Right click on target drive, usually C drive.
• Click Properties
• Under tab called General, Click Disk Cleanup
• A window will open calculating space. Please wait for it to finish and close
• A window will open up listing all the items you can check for clean up.
• You can pick the larger ones, or all of them to clean up. The only one that you may not want to check is thumbnails. If you remove this one, windows will have to re create thumbnails for any icons in any windows, such as pictures.
• Click OK to clean up.
• If you need to clean up more you can do the same steps, but do not click OK, instead, when the disk cleanup window appears, choose “Clean up system Files”
• Another calculating window will open and eventually close, and you will have seemingly the same disk cleanup window, but now with more things to check.
