Here are some basic Instructions on how to use the Neat scanning device. Written 2014-04-03 for a client but can be used in general.
Click Start, Go to the Neat
Wait for it to start up, you can skip the update. or do the update if you want to or need to due to some restriction or the suggestions of the manufacture of Neat.
Choose the folder where you want the new scanned item to go. You can create a folder by clicking New folder at the top of the folder structure. Remember that whatever folder you have selected is where the new folder will go.
Put the paper in the scanner face down. It should grab it.
Press the “Scan” Button on the scanner.
Wait for the document to be scanned. At the top in the middle is the “Queue” and it will take about 10-30 seconds for it to process.
Now it will be in the folder you selected. If you look in the middle pane, you can see a list of all the items in that folder and new ones will have a green note saying something like “unviewd” or “Unreviewed”
Tou can click on that item under the column “Document titles” and “Category” to change those parameters.
To view the document full screen, first make sure it is selected in the middle pane, then you can click on the icon on the far right, above the document, that looks like a square with an arrow pointing out. This will bring up a big window you can change and zoom. You can close this window when done.
To print click on “actions” (above the document on the right) Then choose print
